Celebrating Peaceful Diversity

September News

Mindful Moment… We have a long way to go before we are able to hear the voices of everyone on earth, but I believe that providing voices and building bridges is essential for the World Peace we all wish for – Joichi Ito
As we move into the Harvesting Season – whether that means back to work, back to school or back to choir, there is a sense of change in the air. World Peace Day on 21st September is a chance reflect on how we can all do our bit to create positive change and create a more peaceful world for all of us.

We’re looking forward to celebrating the peaceful diversity of our communities with our choirs – Caterham Community Choir restarts on 6th September, Croydon Community Choir restarts on 12th September and Croydon Carers Choir continues fortnightly from 21st September. We will be joining many choirs as part of the One Day One Choir movement to lift our voices and build songful bridges of peace in our global community.

News & Events – Celebrating Croydon Creativity….

Singing Creates Rainbows – Croydon has certainly seen some magical events this summer including Croydon Pride Fest this weekend where our singing friends Rainbows Across Borders, lead the parade from North End and performed onstage at Surrey Street as part of a wonderful rainbow celebration. You can read and listen to how forming a choir has supported LGBT Asylum Seekers to recover and ‘strut their stuff’ after experiencing trauma in their countries of origin in this article or on their interview onInside Story on Croydon Radio.

Wishing you a Peaceful September
