Singer Celia Stapleton says: “I loved this last series”
Wintersong 2 on Mondays is a short season of Winter and Wassail songs with an optional contribution to the community orchard’s wassail if you fancy, at the end of the month!
Come, sing and be of good cheer on these cold Monday evenings, connecting through song! Every Monday in January
This month we are singing new Winter songs plus 5 Wassail songs for fun and relaxation, including songs from War Horse, Steeleye Span, Bette Midler, Kate Rusby, Game of Thrones and more. All voices are welcome, no auditions, gentle level, non-performing singing group, just for fun and connection.
Optional opportunities to join in with external community singing arise from time to time. This term this is on Sat 27th Jan when they have their community wassail in the orchard, but there is no requirement to take part, it’s just an extra free sing if you fancy it! The Mayor usually attends and it is a jolly event with Morris dancers and Wassail traditions.
All voices welcome, no need to read music, no one is ever put on the spot!
